Made in early 2025 as part of a weaving meditation series, Tranquility was a pleasant reflection on moments of complete contentment that I have experienced in my life. Taking me back to the Northern West Coast beaches, meditating on this work became an obvious representation of those quick moments listening to the waves with the chill of the air on my skin.
Good Effort Projects presented artists with an opportunity to donate artwork for an auction; all proceeds went to Metro Caring, an organization that helps food banks in Denver. This was a really grass-roots event that ended up raising over $1,600. The participants and attendants, makers and buyers, were all of the same community, and getting the chance to be a part of that community was so rewarding. I am learning that working together to accomplish something bigger than we can do alone is truly magical, especially in this day and age.
