Artist Statement:
As the new year begins, I find myself reflecting on the past, the places and people I encountered, and the moments that slipped by. Goals are set and forgotten, intentions become vague hopes. The aspen stands as a witness to these cycles, these seasons of change. I recognize a quiet beauty, a collective body, attentive and enduring, interconnected through their roots. As I linger there, eyes are splattered across the trunks, watching me, watching them. Seeing me fully, without judgment, there is a quiet encouragement among them, to follow the path.
